We have 30 acres which has been planted with over 1,000 palm trees. Natural vegetation is retained, emphasis placed on indigenous trees and the beach left in its natural state.
Bluebay Beach Resort is recognised and commended by the Government of Zanzibar for its outstanding contribution to the preservation of the environment of the island.
We celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2009 and in celebration, old makuti was replaced with new makuti thatching - a local product worked by local artisans.

Meet Maturaf, Sajiddah and the team at Zenith Tours & Travel Ltd., your local connection in Zanzibar. As locals, we are keen to show you the best that Zanzibar has to offer, and we take great pride in the island's culture, history, natural environment and, of course, the famous spices that Zanzibar is renowned for. We've created a number of initiatives to ensure that the local people benefit from tourism, and that the rich tapestry of Zanzibari culture and history is kept alive.
