The Tembo House Hotel is situated in the heart of Stone Town of Zanzibar on the picturesque seafront.
It is a magnificent building which has served several purposes over the years. From 1834 it was an American Consulate and from 1884 it was the premises of Cowasjee Dinshaw and Partners which was the famous Trading Company in the Western Indian Ocean in those years. That name is still seen on one of the main entrances to the hotel.

Check out time is 12:00. Late vacancy until 18:00 is charged at 50% of one night room rate. and beyond 18:00 is charged at one full night room rate. All inclusive coverage will be over at check out time; any consumption or facility used after check out time will be charged to the guest at the time of use.
A cancellation fee will be payable for all no-shows and reservations released within 40 days of the arrival of the client based on the following scale:
a) No Shows: 100% of the full booking value
b) Within 4 days: 100% of the full booking value
c) 5 to 8 days: 75% of the full booking value
d) 10 to 16 days: 50% of the full booking value
e) 17 to 40 days: 25% of the full booking value
