Place of event: Stone Town
This is a celebration of African music underneath an African sky. The festival usually kicks off with a street parade whose ultimate stop is the main venue, usually, Old Fort in Stone Town. It showcases East African music, both new and old music, upcoming and well established names, traditional to techno... with guest musicians from all over Africa.
This year participants will come from as far as South Africa, Egypt, Trididad and Tobago.
